A Beginner's Guide to Brewing Hard Cider

Welcome to the wonderful world of homebrewing cider! This is the simplest place to start learning how to make your very own hard cider at home.

Before proceeding, you will need the following items:

• 1 Gallon jug
• Sanitizing solution
• Bucket that fits jug
• Yeast Packet (champagne yeast is best)
• Yeast nutrient
• Airlock
• Funnel
• Siphon
• Tubing that attaches to the siphon
• Bottle Capper
• Empty bottles & unused bottlecaps
• Conditioning Tablets to make carbonated cider (optional)

And the most important ingredient: Apple Cider!

You can find pasteurized apple cider at your local farmer's market or grocery store. If you can't find cider, you can even use apple juice!
